Jens Cermak ~ Chief Executive Officer

As Amica’s Chief Executive Officer, Jens draws on more than 30 years of experience in finance, operations, and strategic planning to lead Amica and its 5,000 team members.  

Jens’ drive for excellence guides Amica’s mission to revolutionize aging with a dynamic team and a collaborative culture that empowers seniors while offering personalized, discerning care. Jens is committed to delivering exceptional experiences to Amica’s residents and fostering a best-in-class working environment for its team members. 

Jens joined Amica in 2020 as Chief Financial Officer and was soon promoted to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer. He was promoted to CEO in March 2025. 

Prior to joining Amica, Jens served as SVP, Director of Operations and SVP Finance, Systems & Loss Prevention at TJX Canada. During his time at TJX Canada, Jens led 400+ stores with more than 20,000 team members across Canada. Prior to this, Jens held progressively senior finance roles at internationally recognized brands such as Grand & Toy, Pepsi, and Labatt.  

Jens is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant who received an Honours BA from the University of Toronto.  

Jens served as a board member of the Amica Helping Hands Charity for two years and was a past co-chair of the TJX Canada Charitable Foundation for five years.
