Amica Somerset House is Victoria’s only waterfront senior living residence that offers Independent Living and Assisted Living options. Our recently updated four-storey building features breathtaking ocean views from our inviting common areas, including the airy dining room, the library and the conservatory. Relax with a cocktail or a cup of coffee on your private patio or balcony. A number of our residents are artistic and enjoy displaying their work in our in-house art gallery. As well, you can take a break in our quiet garden area with patio and mature trees and well-tended plantings visited by a variety of local birds.

Ideally situated, Amica Somerset House is found on Dallas Road, one of Victoria’s most appealing and well-loved streets. Take advantage of Dallas Road’s flat, wide and newly redone walking trails. From the trails, you can savour ocean views and lovely beaches, and reach nearby destinations like Holland Point Park directly across the road, and Clover Point to the east. To the west is Ogden Point, where you can watch cruise ships dock and seaplanes land and take off. You may even spot local wildlife like river otters, harbour seals or orcas. The charming neighbourhood of James Bay just two blocks away offers shops, galleries, services and eateries. Beacon Hill Park is a nearby 62-acre green space, featuring festivals, plenty of accessible trails, a band pavilion, children’s farm and beautiful grounds.

Visit the remarkable gardens at Government House and enjoy a delicious meal at their tea house. Play nine holes at the Cedar Hill Golf Course or do a round of lawn bowling at Victoria Lawn Bowling Club. Scenic drive destinations include Cadboro Bay and Saxe Point Park.
