$5 million
Raised by our residents, team members and corporate sponsors since 2003
Established in 2003, the Amica Helping Hands Charity (AHHC) supports Canadian seniors living in vulnerable conditions. Throughout the year, our residents and team members donate their time and talents into fundraising initiatives supporting the health and quality of life of at-risk seniors.
The charity also partners with local organizations and receives corporate sponsorship to assist seniors living in poverty and isolation.
Below, Derek Coss, our Chief Development Officer and Chair of AHHC, discusses where donations go and how every dollar makes a difference.
Come the holidays each year, Amica residents and team members fill baskets with non-perishable foods, gift certificates for local pharmacies, hand-knit items created by the residents and more. These baskets may be the only gifts low-income seniors receive all year.
We greatly appreciate all contributions that go toward our holiday basket campaign and our other initiatives.
Our 2024 Inspiring Conversations Gala-an evening of connection, thoughtful conversation, and purpose-was another wonderful success!
With transformative speakers, great company, exciting auctions and so much more,
we came together in a beautiful way to help vulnerable seniors in Canada.

We also provide funds to not-for-profit organizations across Canada, such as seniors’ and healthcare organizations. If your organization supports vulnerable seniors, please contact us to discuss how we can help provide support.
